Meet “Jennie”. She is a 1997 Fleetwood Jamboree 29 foot Class C gas motorhome. She has no slides, can run her roof air conditioning and most of her appliances on 15amps. She is not too long, not too tall and not too wide so she is perfect for traveling in Mexico. With her we can visit many of the small towns we have only read about.

Since we bought her we’ve made a lot of changes and additions. She is 12 years old but they have been good years. Only 18,000 miles on her when we brought her home. With a few exceptions her interior was very nice. Upholstery and appliances in good shape and her roof had been replaced recently.
So starting from the back I’ll tell you what we’ve done to her.
Bedroom: built cupboards above the bed - there was only a small shelf there, painted one wall as there was some water damage to it.
Bathroom: built cupboards for linens etc. as there were none
Kitchen: tiled wall next to range with one inch glass tiles in shades of blue, added shelving in cupboards, lined all cupboards with carpet to cut down noise.
Eating area: added three under table drawers to hold “stuff”, put small partition under table to keep stored items from sliding
Living area: took out sofa bed and replaced with recliner and computer table and magazine racks
Pulled out carpet in living, eating and bedroom areas and replaced with Allure - wood like vinyl (looks really good)
Took out bunk in cab area and Bill built an entertainment center - more storage and TV set etc. Also made more room for books, maps and other stuff.
Had the windows tinted (we can see out no one can see in), all new tires, oil and transmission fluids etc. changed. All belts and hoses are also in good condition.
Installed satellite system for TV and Internet. Also added two 130 amp Solar Panels to roof.
Installed an Excalibar Tow package on her. This will work with the tow set up already on the Jeep.
So she is ready to roll.
A link to see some pictures of her. We think she is pretty spiffy.
She is fairly comfortable to spend four or five months at a time in.
As we like to say there is room for “six for drinks, four to eat and two to sleep.”
Bill has his recliner/rocker with his own laptop table. I spend my laptop time sitting at the dinette table.
When traveling from place to place she pulls our Jeep Liberty “Willie” with no problem. Willie gives us the freedom to really travel around the surrounding country sides to the really tiny and off beat towns.
