Starting North

Saturday

Friday our last day in Mazatlan dawned foggy again but by 8:30, the sun was out and the sky was blue.
We’re waited for the propane guy to come and fill the tanks. Much cheaper here than in the US. Then we went to Home Depot to get a spigot to replace the one that got broken in Guadalajara, Then to the grocery store to get a few things. Didn’t find the spigot will wait till we’re home I guess
Later we put things away in preparation for the journey north. It will take us a few days to get to the US border as we are going to make a couple of stops – we say now – along the way. It is too far to drive to Nogales in one day. Hopefully there will be room in the campgrounds as many, many RVs are headed north now. Right now we are planning on stopping at Las Glorias tonight for a couple of days. It is so far off the main highway it’s not worth just an overnight stop. Then up to San Carlos – another place a ways off the main highway for a couple of nights then maybe Hermosillo or straight on to Arizona. So we’ll have six or seven more days in Mexico then the long trip across country to home.
Wow 25 rigs just pulled in about 4:30 last night and will be here for a week. Glad we are leaving today.. It’s a caravan from Quebec, Canada don’t know where they’ve been as everyone speaks French. Everything from RoadTreks to 40’ motorhomes with tow cars.
Our friend Angelica came over for a while and visited with us. Had leftovers for dinner and Bill watched a movie and I read – just passing the time.
So now it is Saturday a.m. about 6:30 and time to put Stanley down and finish getting ready to leave.
